The best time to visit Digha is in the month of October – February during the winter season. The weather is pleasant and the tourists can enjoy swimming, surfing, scuba-diving, jet-skiing and all other beach activities. Bengal's biggest festival Durga Puja also happens in the month of October. In summer (March – June) the temperature is around 40 degrees Celsius. Monsoon season starts from July till September. Digha has its own railway station which is located around 400 meters from the city. It takes only 5 minutes to reach the city. The railway is well connected to the nearby cities like Kolkata through regular trains.

By Road
Hiring a taxi or self-driving is most suitable to reach Digha if you are travelling from nearby towns. Digha has two bus stands, SBSTC Bus Depot and Old Digha Bus Stop both located at walking distance. Regular bus services also connect Digha to neighboring cities.
