Sarbendra, a HM graduate, MBA, Executive Education and Professional Development Program from Cornell University, has 20 years of diversified hospitality management expertise, being associated with leading hotel groups like IHG, ITC Hotels, Starwood hotels, Marriott and Louvre hotels group. His experience encompasses all aspects of the hotel operations, project development, business development and brand management.


Sarbendra has established himself as a trusted ‘turn around expert’; he enjoys the challenge of converting loss into profit. Having worked within the corporate structure of leading hotel companies, his immense knowledge is supported by very sound implementation capabilities in operations management, and project & site management. He is proficient in strategic planning, resource planning, conceptualization of unique food & beverage concepts, Budgeting and Control, Sales and Marketing strategy, Human Resource Management with specialized Training methodology and Relationship Management.

ALOK VERMA Chief Executive Officer, Cygnett Hotels & Resorts Pvt.Ltd.

Alok Verma has joined the Cygnett Group of Hotels as Chief Operating Officer-South Asia. A Graduate and Diploma in Hotel Management Catering Technology from IHM – Mumbai, Alok has more than three decades of rich professional experience with ITC hotels, Starwood, Marriot etc. He was also associated with Destination Management Company – Travelpack, UK, handling Inbound, Outbound and Charter operations in Goa for a short stint. Before joining Cygnett, he was the operation Head of all properties under ITC Fortune Group.


Alok’s skills cover wide range Business Development, Operations, Pre-Opening, Launch of New Hotels, Alliance Management feasibility of the project, Financial Operations Management & Financial Planning & Strategy. He leads the entire Operations & Business Development of the group.

ASHOK CHOWDHRY Director-Technical & Projects, Cygnett Hotels & Resorts Pvt.Ltd.

Ashok, an engineering graduate from Regional Engineering College, Warangal, Andhra Pradesh has profound knowledge and immense all round expertise in providing technical consultancy in hotels. Starting his career with shipping company that lasted for more than a decade he gained experience in engineering operations and hotel projects build up.


A distinguished career spanning for almost three decades with ITC hotels he rose to the rank of GM-Technical & Projects with Fortune Hotels. Ashok had been instrumental is providing Technical and Project assistance to almost 40 hotel projects pan India, keys ranging from 40-150. His key strengths lies in design optimization; meet project deadlines; maintain economical cost, exquisite space management and integration of all related services.

Shyam Bhethanabotla Chief Technology & Strategy Advisor, Cygnett Hotels & Resorts Pvt.Ltd.

Shyam is an Integrated Doctoral program graduate from the University of Florida in Computer Science with strong techno-commercial leadership experience in startups and MNCs. Shyam was President GTL, EVP Reliance Infocomm, and founder of Commosft, and Luxor Hotels. He possesses a rich experience in implementing AI, Analytics, and Automation to improve the top line and bottom line at every stage of business.


Shyam is a noted expert in AI, Automation and Next Generation Technologies and serves as a trusted advisor to a select group of leading-edge companies. His experience also spans propelling the On Demand economy and the aggregation market with more than ten platforms closely mentored worldwide.

Paramjeet Singh Corporate Finance Controller, Cygnett Hotels & Resorts Pvt.Ltd.

Paramjeet Singh has 34 years of experience in Hospitality Industry. He has been associated with the brand like Hyatt Regency as ADOF (Hyatt Regency Gurgaon), Director-Finance in a corporate office with Hyatt Services India Pvt. Ltd. The subsidiary company of Hyatt Corporation Ltd, Chief Internal Auditor with Asian Hotels Ltd. the owning company of Hyatt Regency Delhi, Hyatt Regency Kolkata and Hyatt Regency Mumbai, Hyatt Regency Delhi, first Hyatt Hotel in India.


Finance is his Forte. Expertise in areas of Financial Control, Hotel Accounting, Budgeting, Auditing, Business & Strategic corporate finance, Well versed in hospitality based software as well as system mapping. Due diligence and Process Management / Controls in Hotel Industry are the prime areas of Interest. Possess expertise in Man Management, liaisoning and building relationships with his soft & firm communication skills. Ajay Markan is a seasoned hospitality veteran with 32 years of dynamic experience with leading hotels and hotel chains of the world, of which 15 eventful years has been abroad. Designated as MasterChef ( Corporate resources ) at a leading hotel Group in India, Mr. Markan is a passionate innovator known for out of the box ideas and sharp business sense, a rare combination that has been instrumental in boosting bottomlines and growth (while reducing food & labor costs) for every team he has been associated with. Winner of several awards, accolades and letters of appreciation, Mr. Markan’s fans and peers count on him for perfection in every dish, delivering under pressure, and creating gourmet experiences that linger long after the meal is over.


Ajay Markan is much more than an acclaimed masterchef, donning several hats. Rishi Anand is Post Graduate Diploma holder in International Business Operations with an extensive experience of over 12 years in the Rooms Division department. During his career he has been associated with Fern Hotels and Resorts under Concept Hospitality and ITC Group.


Rishi, a result oriented professional has hands on experience and knowledge of Reservations, Front office & Sales. His relationships with Travel Agents & Corporate Houses have contributed greatly in generating incremental room nights at a property level. Rishi brings with him a rich expertise including handling Cloud-based software, channel management, centralized hotel reservation systems and identifying online channels that deliver the most value.

BADRUL HUDA KHAN Corporate Revenue Manager, Cygnett Hotels & Resorts Pvt. Ltd.

Badrul Huda Khan, holding an MBA in Finance and Masters in Tourism, has been associated with the travel & hospitality sector for a decade. His academic accomplishments also include Airlines Revenue Management from IATA Training & Development Institute. A Certified Channel Management professional, Badrul started his career with Travelite, Starcon and Interglobe Technologies. He then moved to become an Online Distribution & E- Commerce Manager for hospitality brands like Pride Hotels and India Group of Hotels.


Badrul’s expertise combines invaluable knowledge of both the tourism and hospitality industries. He is a respected authority on revenue management, on-line distribution & e-Commerce, inventory control, yield management, GDS Distribution, channel Management, competitive pricing and OTA Distribution.

SUKANTO GHOSH Business Development Manager, Cygnett Hotels & Resorts Pvt. Ltd.

Sukanto, an HM graduate from Durgapur (West Bengal), with successful 15 years in the hospitality Industry. He spent half of his tenure with Fortune Hotels (Member of ITC hotel). He also worked with Carlson hotels, Sarovar hotels and Choice group of hotels. He also has experience in strategic decisions and expertise in planning.


Sukanto understands the essence of hospitality and always emphasizes the quality of guest experience above all. His expertise is not only F&B, building and nurturing inter-departmental relationships but also in handing both the pre-launch and post-launch of the hotels. With his added skills as a business strategist to negotiate and execute new deals for the company, he is a result oriented professional.

SARMISTHA SENGUPTA Manager, Human Resources, Cygnett Hotels & Resorts Pvt. Ltd.

Sarmistha holds a Masters in Business Management in Human Resources has had a prolific career spanning seven years in the hospitality industry. She is trained in ‘Train the Trainer’ and ‘Spirit of Hospitality’. She has worked extensively with Concept Hospitality and with leading MBA institutes.


Sarmistha possesses a natural mastery over effective communication and she finds it easy to connect and establish productive relationships with colleagues. These skills further her eminent qualification for her role as HR manager. Her expertise in HR and training includes HR policies and process implementation, manpower planning, recruitments, payroll management, performance management and spearheading employee welfare activities.

Safety And Security

The visitor, who goes to a specific lodging, accompanies an understanding that he and his things both will be sheltered and secure while he is putting up at the inn. Keeping this in mind, we have designed an array of features to ensure the security of our premises. One such feature to ensure the safety of the hotel room in which its visitors are staying, is that all the rooms come equipped with doors having punch and magnetic key cards. The hotel also has digitalized in-room safes to ensure the safety of the luggage and other valuables of the guests. In addition, the hotel ensures a thorough vigilance of its guests with trained security guards and latest state-of-the-art security cameras who diligently work round the clock to provide a safe ambience to its guests. It also has smoke detectors and fire alarms in each room to prevent any mishaps in case of fire. The hotel has a proper plan of evacuation which guests and employees trained in earthquake drills will follow during this natural hazard. It has a few accessible entry/points that the guests can use in case of any emergencies or unforeseen mishaps.
